Well, The long, hard remixing sessions are over. Bob's magical mastering is done! We have all the artwork and paperwork together. Kathy Ridl has sent the master artwork templates to Disk Makers. Look for a release of the new RubTones CD titled "Call Johnny Roy" in late April. Liner notes are complete with the story of how we offered our drummer Jim at a Clarksdale Crossroads in hopes of having a great recording session the next day !! In early August 2004, Johnny Roy &The RubTones ventured down to Clarksdale Mississippi to the James Mathus Delta Recording Studio and recorded a full CD featuring at least seven original blues written by Johnny, along with some great, not overplayed blues classics from Little Willie John, Junior Parker, Wynonie Harris, etc...
